Usage & Maintenance
- Always follow the manufacturer’s manual for safe use.
- Hot tubs are generally easier to service when elevated above ground instead of being fully embedded. This is especially important in snowy regions, since most hot tub issues happen in winter. Proper placement ensures faster, safer, and less costly repairs.
- Use bromine or chlorine to properly maintain spa water quality (unless your spa uses a self-cleaning system such as saltwater or UV light)
- Tablets are the easiest option compared to powders. For bromine, using tablets in a floater is recommended — the floater releases bromine slowly and can last up to six weeks, meaning less frequent maintenance for the owner.
- Oxy Shock (non-chlorine shock) is recommended when filling your spa with fresh water. It enhances sanitizer efficiency: allows sanitizers like chlorine or bromine to work more effectively by eliminating organic matter that consumes them.
- Never mix bromine and chlorine products together, as this can be hazardous.
- Never leave children unattended near water.
- Stay within safe temperature and usage limits (e.g., max 40°C for hot tubs).
